The Breast Stays Put
First of all -- at the top of the “Protocel® Need-To-Know List,” for those considering using this non-toxic, alternative treatment, for a diagnosis of cancer, are certain non-negotiable “guidelines” that must be adhered to in order for Protocel® to not only work effectively, but because of the way it goes about systematically “dismantling” the cancer cell—for it to work at all.
If you, or anyone you might recommend Protocel® to as a treatment for a diagnosis of cancer, are not prepared to diligently follow the few simple rules that apply to using Protocel® as a treatment for cancer, you’re better off not even using it. In fact, you have no business using it! Strong language, but in my opinion, this can’t be emphasized strongly enough! If you don’t plan be on top of what you need to be doing in following the recommendations for using Protocel®—find something else! Maybe it’s that way with anything, but with Protocel® it’s even more critical. Because the rules that apply against the usage of seemingly “harmless”—even health-enhancing nutrients—(and there are many that are just not compatible with Protocel®) can’t be emphasized strongly enough.
First, and foremost—the one vital caution that must be accepted and adhered to—which for some people seems to (for whatever reason) be an issue they have a difficult time accepting—there is a particular category of nutrients and supplements that MUST NOT be taken while on Protocel® to recovery from cancer. Because of the way Protocel® works at the cellular level, (which, by the way, is what makes it so effective) many antioxidants, immune-building, cancer-fighting supplements, or supplements containing them; and anything that promotes ATP activity or any energy producing “electricity” at the cellular level, must not be taken in conjunction with Protocel®.
Specifically, the supplements that are most known to interfere with Protocel®’s effectiveness are:
CoQ10
Vitamin C
Vitamin E
Selenium
Ozone Treatments
Essiac Tea
Cat's Claw
Alpha Lipoc Acid
A list of “incompatible” and “compatible” supplements comes with every bottle of Protocel® purchased (and will soon be posted on this Web site).
Go Easy on the Fruit
It may surprise you to learn that there are several fruits that are higher in vitamin C aren't citrus. And it may also surprise you even more that there is more vitamin C content in a 100 g. serving of raw broccoli and a 100 g. serving of raw brussel sprouts than there is in an orange. And vitamin C is something you want to avoid getting more than 70 mg. of per day while on Protocel®. (I personally made it a point to not even come close!) Check out this small but to the point food chart on vitamin c content in foods:
"Good Sources of Vitamin C Chart"
And, for another more detailed, excellent "Nutrient Content Chart" to check your favorite fruits, vegetables and nuts (where meats, grains and dairies are said to be coming soon) for vitamin C, vitamin E content visit Dr. Decuypere's Health Alternatives website at:

Another source for the lists of supplements that are considered to be compatible and incompatible with Protocel, are listed in Chapter 12, "How to Use Protocel Correctly" in Tanya Harter Pierce's book, “Outsmart Your Cancer.”

In "Outsmart Your Cancer," Pierce states:
"If person eats a healthy, well-balanced diet while using Protocel®, the intake of the above nutrients in their natural food form will usually not be enough to interfere with the formula's effectiveness. Many cancer patients have proven this to be true time and again. However, it is recommended to keep the ingestion of those fruits that are very high in vitamin C to a minimum. In other words, while using Protocel, it is probably best to avoid a high amount of whole citrus fruits or fresh-squeezed citrus fruit juice. Both Jim Sheridan and Ed Sopcak used to discourage the use of supplements while using this formula and urged people to get balanced nutrients from their food instead."
In a world where people have awakened to the need for supplementing their diet with health enhancing nutrients, it makes it vitally important for someone to understand why many of the supplements they may have been using, even the cancer-preventative ones, cannot be taken while on Protocel®, because it’s those health-enhancing, immune building properties themselves that may make them incompatible with Protocel®.
Many supplements you may have used for years that you know to be effective against cancer; supplements you know others have used in overcoming a diagnosis of cancer; and yes, even supplements your well-meaning (but, unfortunately, uninformed where Protocel® is concerned) doctor tells you that you have to take to recover, must not be taken if Protocel® is expected to be effective. And, trust me—you don’t need them. Protocel® works effectively all by itself!
Friendly Fire
Whenever I speak with someone starting on Protocel®, I tell them how, in my own personal experience, that even though I’ve taken what I believe are the best supplements on the market for thirty years, as I held that first bottle of Protocel®, knowing I had to give 90% of them up, I said to myself, You not only “can” do this – you “will!” There were many years when you never took a supplement in your life before you found the world of nutrition, and it won’t hurt you to stop taking them for months or even a year or two, if need be. It was a non-issue. I started going through everything I had, because—for the time being—all those supplements that I had enjoyed being on so much, I now had to view as if they were the enemy—because while on Protocel®, they are! (A list of Protocel® compatible and incompatible supplements is currently packaged with every bottle of Protocel®; or refer to “Outsmart Your Cancer,” by Tanya Harter Pierce. And will soon be on ww.TheBreastStaysPut.com.)
A Fine-Tooth Comb
There are fine tooth combs, and then there are fine tooth combs! Remember in school whenever there was an outbreak of lice? Remember that tiny “fine-tooth comb” all Mom’s had to go through their kids hair with who got ‘em, looking for, what, if I remember right, were called, “nits?” (Which, do you think maybe that’s where the term “nit-picking” came from? That’s a trip, right? I bet it is!) (I just had to throw that in.)
Well, that’s the kind of fine-tooth comb I’m talking about here. One that doesn’t miss a thing! If you, or someone you love, is going to use Protocel®, you have got to go through the products you use and “LOOK” at labels and read the list of contents and ingredients like you’re a detective using a magnifying glass (which you may need to do—to be able to read some of the labels that are out there) going through your diet, your habits, your skin care products and every vitamin and supplement you take, with that little “nit” picking fine-tooth comb.
I joke about this, but in all seriousness, this is the number two reason why some people have problems, or don’t make it on Protocel®. Either they won’t give up their supplements, or a well meaning loved one, friend or doctor insists they have to take something like Vitamin E along with Protocel® to make it work.
In the world of Protocel®, when it comes to supplements, less definitely is more.
When Elonna McKibben survived her diagnosis of Gioblastoma fifteen years ago; a rare cancer that no one had ever survived, she had the privilege to be able to work with the Ed Sopcak who joined Jim Sheridan’s project, providing people with Cancell®, which was what Protocel® was called at the time. (Neither Jim Sheridan or Ed Sopcak ever charged people for Cancell®. Ed was known to regularly recommend Bromelain to people he gave Cancell® to; and, if people had been smoking and now had lung cancer, he also recommended Clear Willard Water. (Both products are covered later When in doubt in this chapter). And, according to Elonna McKibben, and the Sheridan Family, the one thing Ed Sopcak was firm on was that he would not give Cancell® to people who wanted to do chemotherapy at the same time. Ed was adamant about the fact that people were to use nothing but Cancell®, or he wouldn’t even give it to them.
