 PROTOCEL® 101

____________________________

                  Optimum Usage

First of all -- at the top of the “Protocel® Need-To-Know List,” for those considering using this non-toxic, alternative treatment, for a diagnosis of cancer, are certain non-negotiable “guidelines” that must be adhered to in order for Protocel®  to not only work effectively, but because of the way it goes about systematically “dismantling” the cancer cell—for it to work at all.

If you, or anyone you might recommend Protocel® to as a treatment for a diagnosis of cancer, are not prepared to diligently follow the few simple rules that apply to using Protocel® as a treatment for cancer, you’re better off not even using it.  In fact, you have no business using it! Strong language, but in my opinion, this can’t be emphasized strongly enough!  If you don’t plan be on top of what you need to be doing in following the recommendations for using Protocel®—find something else!  Maybe it’s that way with anything, but with Protocel® it’s even more critical.  Because the rules that apply against the usage of seemingly “harmless”—even health-enhancing nutrients—(and there are many that are just not compatible with Protocel®) can’t be emphasized strongly enough.

First, and foremost—the one vital caution that must be accepted and adhered to—which for some people seems to (for whatever reason) be an issue they have a difficult time accepting—there is a particular category of nutrients and supplements that MUST NOT be taken while on Protocel®  to recovery from cancer.  Because of the way Protocel® works at the cellular level, (which, by the way, is what makes it so effective) many antioxidants, immune-building, cancer-fighting supplements, or supplements containing them; and anything that promotes ATP activity or any energy producing “electricity” at the cellular level, must not be taken in conjunction with Protocel®.

Specifically, the supplements that are most known to interfere with Protocel®’s effectiveness are:

                                                                 Iodine

                                           Omega-3 Fatty Acids

                                                                   CoQ10

                                                                 Vitamin C

                                                                 Vitamin E

                                                                  Selenium

                                                           Ozone Treatments

                                                                 Essiac Tea
                                                      Burdock Root
                                                         Cat's Claw
                                                   Alpha Lipoc Acid

                                                                        IP6

                                                                              DHEA
Cesium

A list of “incompatible” and “compatible” supplements comes with every bottle of Protocel® purchased (and will soon be posted on this Web site).

                                               Go Easy on the Fruit

It may surprise you to learn that there are several fruits that are higher in vitamin C aren't citrus.  And it may also surprise you even more that there is more vitamin C content in a 100 g. serving of raw broccoli and a 100 g. serving of raw brussel sprouts than there is in an orange. And vitamin C is something you want to avoid getting more than 70 mg. of per day while on Protocel® (I personally made it a point to not even come close!)  Check out this small but to the point food chart on vitamin c content in foods:

Another source for the lists of supplements that are considered to be compatible and incompatible with Protocel, are listed in Chapter 12, "How  to Use Protocel Correctly" in Tanya Harter Pierce's book, “Outsmart Your Cancer.”

Click to order:  Outsmart Your Cancer

                                                    by Tanya Harter Pierce

In "Outsmart Your Cancer," Pierce states:

"If person eats a healthy, well-balanced diet while using Protocel®, the intake of the above nutrients in their natural food form will usually not be enough to interfere with the formula's effectiveness.  Many cancer patients have proven this to be true time and again.  However, it is recommended to keep the ingestion of those fruits that are very high in vitamin C to a minimum.  In other words, while using Protocel, it is probably best to avoid a high amount of whole citrus fruits or fresh-squeezed citrus fruit juice.  Both Jim Sheridan and Ed Sopcak used to discourage the use of supplements while using this formula and urged people to get balanced nutrients from their food instead."

In a world where people have awakened to the need for supplementing their diet with health enhancing nutrients, it makes it vitally important for someone to understand why many of the supplements they may have been using, even the cancer-preventative ones, cannot be taken while on Protocel®, because it’s those health-enhancing, immune building properties themselves that may make them incompatible with Protocel®.

Many supplements you may have used for years that you know to be effective against cancer; supplements you know others have used in overcoming a diagnosis of cancer; and yes, even supplements your well-meaning (but, unfortunately, uninformed where Protocel® is concerned) doctor tells you that you have to take to recover, must not be taken if Protocel® is expected to be effective.  And, trust me—you don’t need them.  Protocel® works effectively all by itself!

                                                          Friendly Fire

Whenever I speak with someone starting on Protocel®, I tell them how, in my own personal experience, that even though I’ve taken what I believe are the best supplements on the market for thirty years,  as I held that first bottle of Protocel®, knowing I had to give 90% of them up, I said to myself, You not only “can” do this – you “will!”  There were many years when you never took a supplement in your life before you found the world of nutrition, and it won’t hurt you to stop taking them for months or even a year or two, if need be.  It was a non-issue.  I started going through everything I had, because—for the time being—all those supplements that I had enjoyed being on so much, I now had to view as if they were the enemy—because while on Protocel®, they are!  (A list of Protocel® compatible and incompatible supplements is currently packaged with every bottle of Protocel®; or refer to “Outsmart Your Cancer,” by Tanya Harter Pierce.  And will soon be on ww.TheBreastStaysPut.com.)

           A Fine-Tooth Comb

There are fine tooth combs, and then there are fine tooth combs!  Remember in school whenever there was an outbreak of lice?  Remember that tiny “fine-tooth comb” all Mom’s had to go through their kids hair with who got ‘em, looking for, what, if I remember right, were called, “nits?”  (Which, do you think maybe that’s where the term “nit-picking” came from?  That’s a trip, right?  I bet it is!)  (I just had to throw that in.)

Well, that’s the kind of fine-tooth comb I’m talking about here.  One that doesn’t miss a thing!  If you, or someone you love, is going to use Protocel®, you have got to go through the products you use and “LOOK” at labels and read the list of contents and ingredients like you’re a detective using a magnifying glass (which you may need to do—to be able to read some of the labels that are out there) going through your diet, your habits, your skin care products and every vitamin and supplement you take, with that little “nit” picking fine-tooth comb.

I joke about this, but in all seriousness, this is the number two reason why some people have problems, or don’t make it on Protocel®.  Either they won’t give up their supplements, or a well meaning loved one, friend or doctor insists they have to take something like Vitamin E along with Protocel® to make it work.

In the world of Protocel®, when it comes to supplements, less definitely is more.

When Elonna McKibben survived her diagnosis of Gioblastoma fifteen years ago; a rare cancer that no one had ever survived, she had the privilege to be able to work with the Ed Sopcak who joined Jim Sheridan’s project, providing people with Cancell®, which was what Protocel® was called at the time.  (Neither Jim Sheridan or Ed Sopcak ever charged people for Cancell®.  Ed was known to regularly recommend Bromelain to people he gave Cancell® to; and, if people had been smoking and now had lung cancer, he also recommended Clear Willard Water. (Both products are covered later When in doubt in this chapter).   And, according to Elonna McKibben, and the Sheridan Family, the one thing Ed Sopcak was firm on was that he would not give Cancell® to people who wanted to do chemotherapy at the same time.  Ed was adamant about the fact that people were to use nothing but Cancell®, or he wouldn’t even give it to them.

               When You Don’t Know

The cardinal rule for deciding whether to take a supplement that you aren’t SURE is Protocel® compatible is:  “When in doubt—DON’T!”

                                                           The Mix

Protocel® comes packed in a secure molded-foam packing container with a small bottle for convenience, and an eye-dropper for  dosing.  (I purchased extra small bottles from Renewal & Wellness and used them to mix up my daily doses, which was just one more way for me of knowing I was taking my doses on schedule as one by one they disappeared throughout the course of 24 hours.)

I was told, and the directions do state, “Protocel®  can be taken in juice.”  I just never did it.  Well, I actually did in the very beginning, but because I noticed I was drinking way more than I felt comfortable with, I switched to RO water.  (Reverse Osmosis.) Protocel® can be mixed in distilled water.  It’s actually recommended that it be mixed in distilled water, especially if it’s going to be mixed ahead of time.  I never used distilled.  I always used RO, because it’s our system of choice when it comes to purifying our water.  And I did just fine on it.   And most say the difference in the two forms is very minimal.   (If you are looking to purchase a water treatment system, you’ll want to be sure it has the  Water Quality Association (WQA) and National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) stamp of approval, by going to www.NSF.com.)
I also decided that since cancer tends to feed on sugar, if I were going to ingest any, it wouldn’t be in the form of juice.  And since I won’t drink anything with sucralose or aspartame in it, and certainly not juice containing vitamin C, or juice that had vitamin C added, I decided water was the safest, easiest and, for me, the most convenient route to go.

I’d been told by one person that it would taste nasty.  I didn’t think it tasted nasty at all.  Medicinal?—Maybe.  Metallic?—Not really.  If I had to describe it, the word “elemental” comes to mind.    But not nasty.  Especially since I could drink as much water afterward as I wanted.  And you’re supposed to drink a lot of water when taking Protocel®; to assist the body in flushing out the bad stuff—ridding itself of dead cancer cells, in addition to other toxins.

The one thing (I found to be true in my own experience) you don’t want to do—is mix it in “too little” water.  I found the more “diluted” it was, the less opportunity there was to experience an offensive taste.

                                                  Bromelain & More

The process of lysing, again, is the term used to describe the deteriorating, dismantling and disintegrating effect Protocel® has on anerobic cells in the body, as it systematically reduces them to simple protein that the body then disposes as a waste product largely through the lymph system.  To help this disposal process, the one thing someone on Protocel®  will do well to take daily is Bromelain.  A proteolytic enzyme that works on the digestion of proteins. Bromelain attacks the long chain polypeptides of the proteins and breaks them down through a process called hydrolysis, making them into to shorter chain peptides. These peptides are subsequently hydrolyzed into basic amino acids, allowing the body to dispose of them as a simple waste product.   Sounds simple enough, right?  Until you hear how the lymph system is “wired.”

"Pro-Enzymes" an excellent enzyme product, containing protease, papain and bromelain, can be purchased when ordering Protocel®  at www.Protocel.com

 o
Protease digests proteins

   o  Amylase digests carbohydrates

o  Lipase digests fats

It's the protein of the lysed cells that needs to be broken down.  If Bromelain is taken alone, the recommended minimum is 1000 mg with each meal.  I took much more, in the form of higher potency enzymes, such as one I use that works great called, "Digestive Enzymes HP90V" by Allegany Nutrition which can only be purchased by your health care practitioner for you at: 317-865-0889.  With other enzymes I used, I found I had to use several.  With the HP90V, I only had to take one.  The product has numerous additional enzymes that others don't contain.

I should clarify that when I started on Protocel the information available on what could be taken with Protocel, such as ProEnzymes, and Germanium 132, was limited at the time, and no one recommended either product to me.  You can now inquire about these products at www.Protocel.com or by calling 1-888-669-3263.

When dealing with a diagnosis of cancer enzymes can also be beneficial when taken on an empty stomach.  (I took them with meals, as well as in between, and I could tell a definite difference in digestion and noticed a definite lessening of the issues surrounding lysing involved with my sinus and ear canal when I did.)  What you want to look for in an enzyme is that it is free of homeopathics and other nutrients, and it contains, at least, the 3 types of enzymes listed above.

                                     The Lysing Phenomenon

Lysing is not what you see.  Lysing is the process that caused what  you  see.

Lysing is what often ends up in the toilet; or in tissues from your runny nose; or the sometimes “boulder-size” “sleep-sand” in your eyes, is not lysing.  Lysed cells are what you are seeing—and the “process” of lysing is what caused it.

Lysing is the deterioration, dismantling and disintegration of bad, anerobic cells—which reduces them to nothing more than a raw egg white looking substance that the body recognizes and disposes of as a simple waste product—the effects of lysing. It would be inaccurate to say, I threw up today and the toilet was full of “lysing.”  The toilet was actually full of lysed matter.

The only significance in any of this (due to the fact that “lysing” and “lysed cells” are new terms to almost everyone reading this book) is for the reader to be better able to make the distinction between the two, because it can sometimes take people a while to grasp it.  I know it did me.

             The Death of a Cell

There are usually two sides to a story, and in the case of Protocel® vs. conventional chemotherapy and radiation, there are two distinct ways these opposite ends of the spectrum treatments  arrive at the death of a cancer cell.

First of all, in contrast to what Protocel® is and how it works, chemotherapy drugs and radiation treatments are defined as "cyto-toxic," which means they are toxic to cells and do directly kill them.  From what I understand about Protocel®, it does not "kill" cancer cells in a cyto-toxic way.

Even though the truth is, as an end result of using Protocel®,  the cancer cells do die off:  They just don't die off in the way they do when a person uses a cyto-toxic treatment like chemotherapy or radiation.

So, in the same way the term “lysing” is a process and not the end product, the way Protocel® kills cancer is not through producing “whole dead cancer cells,” but rather “dead cancer cell parts” are the end result of the process, after Protocel® has caused a cell to fall apart an die.

In other words, after Protocel® has done it’s job, there are no whole dead cancer cells lying around.  Protocel® has deprived the cancer cells of their energy to the point where they can't hold themselves together and they fall apart into their basic protein parts.  In other words, “parts is parts” and much the same as something dying from a lack of oxygen, water and food, dead cancer cell parts and debris, not whole dead cancer cells are what are left in the path of a bloodstream that’s been saturated with an adequate amount of Protocel® for a sufficient enough time to complete it’s assignment.  The best explanation I've heard yet is in the document (above) for downloading of, Wicked Wet Witches, by Tanya Harter Pierce.

                                              Power-Dosing

“Power-dosing” is whenever a person uses a significantly increased and/or more frequent dosing schedule of Protocel® than they are normally on.  Often, power dosing for 5 to 7 days once in a while can benefit a person’s chances of recovery.

In my case, my normal dose was 1/4 teaspoonful 5 times a day and I chose to power dose at 1/3 teaspoonful 5 times per day to help Protocel® get on top of what was clearly very fast, aggressive cancer growth, which was the way things started out for me right from the beginning, after the biopsy.

In retrospect, I had many warning signs that the bout with severe dizziness and vomiting was coming.   But, I since I didn’t know to expect something, I really wasn’t looking for anything.   If I had known there was even the slightest possibility that power dosing could cause such a drastic reaction out of my body, I’d have certainly backed off when I started experiencing the degree of discomfort that began to manifest itself long before it got to the “boiling point.”   ‘Cause it did reach a fever-pitch, boiling point!'

I’m certain that even if I had only power-dosed for a week (with the amount of lysed matter that I had expelled by power dosing for two), my body would have still been able to throw of a lot off a lot it.  Although, I’m sure not as much all at once, but as potent a formula as Protocel® obviously is – and trust me – it’s potent – I’m sure it would have been significant – just in a more regulated fashion.

So, I say, after having been there, if you experience any type of dizziness, nausea or severe shooting or traveling pains, or pain of any kind—stop power-dosing!   What I experienced was scary!  Nobody needs to lyse that rapidly!  A better plan would have been for me to power-dose for only a week, or even just five days.  Then I could have waited two weeks and done it again – with probably as much results and a whole lost less discomfort.

When the “big one” was inevitable, even though I was clueless, more-so than being just tired and flat-out exhausted (which are both typical in a much milder form in the first months of being on Protocel®) I was experiencing a level of fatigue that gradually became debilitating.  I had sharp, shooting, piercing neuralgia type pains on the top of my skull, in the cartilage of my ear, in my eyes, on the outer side of my wrist, and various other places such as behind my knee cap.   And I didn’t connect the dots as to what was causing it.  When I finally figured it out, it was too late.  But after I went through that mess, you can bet I never put myself in that position again!   I had no idea you were only supposed to do it for five days.  Had I done that I would have had little or no problem.

I’d like to clarify here, though, that it was not the increased amount of Protocel® I took  that caused my unpleasant  symptoms  while  power-dosing.  Protocel® has been proven over and over to be less toxic than an aspirin a day, and a person with no cancer can take a very high dose without experiencing any symptoms of any kind.  But power-dosing makes the cancer break down faster and it was my body struggling to deal with the extra amount of lysed material that was causing my symptoms.  Power-dosing when you want to get aggressive against a stubborn diagnosis, can be a very GOOD thing!  And, in my case, I’m convinced that it was helpful in my recovery, and partly why I was able to knock down this diagnosis of cancer so quickly!

                                                       Treading Lightly

Also, on the subject of power dosing; if someone who is battling a brain tumor power-dosing is more questionable, as to whether or not they will want to.  Sometimes just being on a normal dose of Protocel® can cause a tumor in the brain to lyse quickly enough,  causing it to “puff up” for a lack of better term, as it begins the lysng process, which can cause some pressure and  discomfort.  So, if dealing with a brain tumor, you want to carefully consider how you go about it, if you are determined to do so, in a situation where you feel it’s critical that you do.  Monitor your symptoms, and again, you can always stop; let some time pass, and do it again.  I wish I’d known to do that.

Sometimes, too, radiation will shrink a brain tumor, giving Protocel® more of an opportunity to do what it needs to do, with less discomfort to the patient.  Radiation, I’m told, can be compatible with Protocel®--much more so than chemotherapy, which is usually not compatible at all.

And taking Protocel® while taking radiation treatments has been found to minimize side effects and the undesirable issues that can accompany radiation.

               Rules for Power Dosing

Stating a that a specific amount is where power-dosing begins, such as going from 1/4 teaspoonful doses up to 1/3 teaspoonful, could easily be misleading and inaccurate for those whose systems can handle a higher dose as a power-dose.  The amount that would be a power-dose amount to me has actually been shown to be the amount others can handle as a regular dose.

When I took 1/3 teaspoonful of Protocel® 23, 5 times per day, going no more than 6 hours between doses, for me, that WAS a power dose, which I found out two weeks later I should have not even stayed on for two weeks.  (However, again, I can’t stress strongly enough: Had I known what to look for; had I known something was in the works, I would have recognized all the signs that my body was telling me that it was approaching over-load on the rate of cancer-cell die off,  and would have simply backed off!)

With what I know now, increasing my doses of Protocel® in increments to see where my tolerance level was (before lysing signs started to become too strong) is the first thing I’d be working toward figuring out, as it seems like it varies from person to person.  Some find 1/4 teaspoonful if right where they need to be.  But I've talked with several others who either take between a 1/4 and a 1/3 teaspoonful, or some even 1/2, and when they did, they found the lysing incfreased.  So -- even if most people do find 1/4 teaspoonful to be their “normal dose”—I would want to know if I was one of those that could be taking more!   (And--of course--that was all just  food for thought.  Something for you to think about and consider in your own situation.

                      Good Vibrations

Being determined to never miss a dose, I needed a plan.  So—I started searching the Internet for alarm watches.

I found one that had three types of alarms on it.  I needed five.   I called the company anyway.  Not a problem.  One of the alarms could be set to go off every so many hours.  Perfect!

My bedside alarm could wake me up at seven a.m., and I could have my watch alarms go off every five hours—noon, five, ten and then three in the morning.  And it worked just great.  I didn’t have to sleep with it on because when I went to bed if I put it on vibration and laid it on the nightstand, the noise was enough to wake me up.  I kept it on vibration, so when it went off I was the only one who was aware of it.

Later I switched my dosing schedule to include a dose closer to midnight, so that I could begin dosing again at six a.m. where I would be going no more than six hours at any given time without a dose of Protocel®.

In the beginning the days seemed to go by slowly. I was experiencing signs of “lysing” but I was concerned about staying on top of my dosing.  And having the alarm watch in the beginning was security.  Several months down the road, my doses had become such a habit, I found myself not even using the watch anymore.  A lot of people use alarms set in the house, and some cell phones have timers and alarms.  You have to do what works for you.  I found security in having a watch.
Here are just two out of many with multiple alarms:

                                            In Retrospect

Knowing what I know now, and having seen firsthand how Protocel
® works in the system, if I were beginning a Protocel® program for a diagnosis of cancer, for a few days, right out of the gate, and for as long as necessary, I’d be pushing the envelope on dosing.  The only situation where I might be apt to be more cautious would be where the diagnosis involved a brain tumor, where I didn’t want to create a lot of discomfort if cells began to lyse too quickly.  (When a tumor begins to deteriorate and fall apart, as it loses density, the lysing can cause it to swell somewhat, before it begins to shrink in size.  Therefore, with a tumor involving the brain, if lysing were to occur too rapidly it could cause discomfort in the way of headaches or dizziness.)

But, if I were looking at being diagnosed with breast cancer, in particular, I would be apt to want to inch up from the 1/4 teaspoonful dose to between a heavy 1/4 teaspoonful and even 1/3 teaspoonful.  AND if I still didn’t see signs of lysing, or experience noticeable fatigue, by at least the third week, (which would indicate the body was working hard as Protocel® was dealing with the cancer) I would continue to move up in dosage until I felt something.   And even then, if I felt I could tolerate going up even higher, I would then begin to inch up from between the 1/3 teaspoonful to 1/2.

There are many who recover from cancer with Protocel® and see no signs of lysing.  But I know I would want to see something.  And one of the best indicators that Protocel® is at work is that of being tired, and having to take a nap in the afternoon—or, as in my case, feeling as though you'll asleep sitting up if you don’t.  (But, again—remember!  Slow growing cancer—slow die-off, or cancer already cut out and gone—the less apt someone is to be tired.)   So, if it were me, and I didn't see any indication that cells were being lysed and disposed of out of the body, I'd be increasing my doses to see if I didn't notice something.  (See "What is Lysing?" page for signs of lysing and the FREE download by Tanya Harter Pierce, "Wicked Wet Witches.")

                       The All Clear-Staying the Course

One common thread of recovery stories is in early scans reporting either no change in tumors, or even increase in size.  When now many times, with the way Protocel
® works, tumors can appear larger on scans, when what they are really doing is losing density and falling apart.  Much like holding a tight fist, you see it look bigger as soon as you begin relaxing your grip.  But, usually within months, if Protocel® is working, the tumors start to shrink and can even disappear.  It's when they are gone -- when the doctor starts scratching his head -- that it's NOT the time to stop taking Protocel®.  Just because a tumor disappears does not necessarily mean leftover cancer cells, or even smaller clusters of them might not be lurking and waiting to make a come-back.   It's recommended that when the day comes that tumors are gone, or the doctors say there is no longer any sign of cancer, the Protocel® user will do well to stay on Protocel® for at least six months, or even a year, after that point.  Just to make certain there are no live/active cancer cells left anywhere.  Period.
And as far as maintenance, it's recommended Protocel
® users  go back on Protocel® at least once a year,  and consume an entire bottle, which means being on it a minimum of two months.
And while we are talking about preventing recurrence, it's suggested that as a huge preventative that CoQ10 be taken, as it's been reported that there is an 800% increased risk of a recurrence when a CoQ10 deficiency is present.
HOWEVER, a word of caution is that, again, WHILE ON PROTOCEL

CoQ10 CANNOT be taken, as it will compromise Protocel
®'s effectiveness, and cancel out Protocel®'s ability to work--in any situation.  As will all the other supplements that are PNC -- Protocel® Non-Compatible.  And you must read labels.  Nowadays you'll find vitamin E, vitamin C, CoQ10 are frequently added to supplements because of their synergistic effect when used with other supplements.
       While on Protocel
® a person is under the umbrella of Protocel®'s protection, CoQ10 would not be necessary anyway.  But when talking about CoQ10 to be taken as a preventative measure against a recurrence of breast cancer, we have to be clear that anytime someone is on Protocel® -- CoQ10 cannot be taken.

                      Visit www.StopBreastCancer-Recurrence.com for
                            more information on preventing recurrance.
           (But while on Protocel
® always be aware and check for PNC's.)

                                               And - One More Time

Feeling the need to expound on the vitamin D3 prevention factor every chance I get,  before I leave this section I would like to take this opportunity to go over the importance of it once more.  Information on the value of supplementing with vitamin D3 is everywhere these days,  including my mailbox this morning as I read the cover of the October 2007 issue of Life Extension Magazine calling on President Bush to do something.
Canada several months ago issued a blanket recommendation that every Canadian in the entire country begin supplementing their diet with vitamin D.  And it's a known fact that in this country the southern states have far less incidence of cancer.  Canada, the Great Lakes States (especially, Michigan, being surrounded so much by the Great Lakes and overcast conditions) and many northern states are lacking in sunshine compared to the south.
As I looked at President George W. Bush's picture on the cover of the magazine I was holding, with the caption "Should the President Declare a National Emergency?"  I couldn't wait to open the pages to see what it they had to say.
In the twevle article, 5 reference pages are where citing 175 papers and publications covering the overwhelming evidence that hundreds of thousands of American lives could be saved each year merely by taking this low-cost vitamin.
The recommendations for a maintenance dose of vitamin D3 range from 1000 to 2500 IU, and theraputic doses can range from 5,000 IU and up.
Blood tests should be done to monitior vitamin D3 levels.  After being on 6,000 IU of vitamin D3 daily for several months, my blood work revealed that my levels were low.  I was at 44 and my health care practitioner said a good range is between 88 and 100.   I wasn't absorbing it.  And since vitamin D3 is absorbed through fats, she recommended that I take an interesting form of it--suspended in olive oil drops--for better absorption.
The other interesting part of it is that instead of my having to take 6,000 IU/day, which is 3 drops, she said that because of the way vitamin D3 stores in the body, with this form I could take 30 days worth of drops on the first day of the month.  So I take 90 drops the first day of the month and have it marked on my calendar to do as many drops on the first day of the following month as there are in the month.   A supply lasting several months at this high doseage was under $20.00, making it extremely economical, and it can be purchased without a prescription.
If you're interested in obtaining this brand of vitamin D3, Rx Vitamins -- Physician's Formula Liquid-D3  it can be ordered from Helio's Health Care at 1-303-499-9224.   Then follow the prompt for
The Apothecary

The uniqueness of this formula is that it is in a very light olive oil base; you take 30 drops (which will provide your system with 2000 IU's of vitamin D per day) on the first day of the month and you're good for the month.  You can eat it on a salad, on toast, or, since it's not offensive, you can also just take right off a spoon.  And in a screening I just had done, my vitamin D3 levels were perfect after being on this product for 6 months.  And that was not happening for me when I was taking it in capsule form.
Again, I realize that we are in the segment of "Protocel
® 101 -- Optimal Protocel® Usage," but since vitamin D3 is known to be completely compatible with Protocel® -- and considering the mounting evidence pointing to it's effectiveness against cancer, I felt I couldn't end this segment without providing the information.
Talk about it with your physician, but again--it's an economical dietary supplement that can be obtained without a prescription.
